Oppo has officially confirmed the launch date for its next A-series smartphone in India. Oppo A5 Pro 5G will become official on April 24 and the company is advancing it as a phone manufactured to wear everyday and handle tears, offering the balance of performance and utility. Next to the launch, the company has confirmed some characteristics and some details are leaked online, making us a thick idea what to expect from the next Oppo phone.
Oppo A5 Pro 5G is being promoted as a more rugged option within the brand’s mainstream lineup. In a change from a normal focus on style and design, Oppo is bringing some of its hard design elements-it was seen in its F series-in this new A-Series device. It shows that the brand says “360 percent armor body”, which is said to be drop-resistant from all sides. The phone also comes with an IP69 rating, which means that it is resistant to dust and even high pressure water splashes.
Power to A5 Pro 5G is a 5800mAh battery. Oppo is combining it with 45W Supercoke fast charging, which should help users to come back completely with full power when it is on this step. The company is also highlighting a feature that is called “200 percent network boost” with the aim of improving the strength of the signal in a challenging environment, although the exact details on how this work is still to wrap.
In terms of hardware, the phone may be equipped with a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD display that supports the 120Hz refresh rate. For additional safety, Oppo has used Corning Gorilla Glass 7I on the front. MediaTek is a 6300 chipset under the hood. Camera-wise, Oppo A5 Pro 5G includes a 50-megapixel main rear camera, supported by a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Although these numbers may seem familiar, they are similar to the previous year’s Oppo A3 Pro 5G, suggesting that the A5 Pro could reach with the same price tag – the probability below the Rs 20,000.
This version of the A5 Pro 5G is different from one launched in China last year and varies slightly from the global model launched earlier this year. Oppo seems to have designed the Indian version to focus on practical needs such as network power, physical durability and prolonged battery life. With the launch in a few days, everyone’s eyes are now at a price and whether Oppo can position A5 Pro 5G as a compelling price-to-wealth option in India’s highly competitive mid-range segment.
