Operation Devil Hunt: How Bangladesh Sheikh is hunting Hasina’s loyalists

Security forces in Bangladesh have arrested 1,308 persons from across the country, which was started to curb the nationwide incidents of crowd attacks and barbarity as part of the ongoing “Operation Devil Hunt”. The operation was launched by the interim government led by Nobel Lauriat Muhammad Yums on Saturday at Gazipur in Gazipur in Gazipur during a brutality at the house of a former minister of Awami League.

About Operation Devil Hunt?

Yunus -led interim government on Saturday launched a special drive called ‘Operation Devil Hunt’, aimed at curbing disturbance and ensuring public safety across the country. Speaking about the special drive, Home Advisor MD Jahangir Alam Chaudhary said it will continue until all “devils” are brought in contact with justice and “not a single devil should be released”.

Later on Sunday, Nasimul Ghani, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, said that the operation will continue for a long time as necessary. “Our goal is to neutralize the pockets from where efforts are being made to destabilize the country,” he said.

As part of the operation, the government has set up a command center at the Police Headquarters under the Ministry of Home Affairs, from where all the forces are monitoring the law and order situation of the country.

Comprehensive security operations come after days of disturbance.
