OpenAI is launching a new subscription-based exclusive model, ChatGPT Pro, which will include unlimited access to OpenAI o1, GPT 4o, and advanced voice modes. ChatGPT Pro will cost users $200 (approximately Rs 17,000) per month. It also offers a Pro-exclusive version of o1, known as o1 Pro Mode, which uses additional computing power and logic to deliver the best solutions to complex problems. The company will maintain a Plus tier priced at $20 (roughly Rs. 1,700) per month, which will offer early access to new features, access to all of its models, and other benefits. However, it will not include the more advanced o1 version.
OpenAI o1 model is out of preview
The company is launching the full version of its O1 model, which will replace the previous O1-Preview. Initially released under the code name ‘Strawberry’ as a limited preview in September, the new model will be available to ChatGPT Plus and Teams users today, while Enterprise and Edu users will gain access next week.
According to OpenAI, the model can reason through complex tasks and solve harder problems than previous models in science, coding, and mathematics. Although this is the first of this series in ChatGPT, OpenAI is expected to add regular updates and improvements.
It also demonstrates solid improvements in key areas, such as generating code and handling complex, multistep challenges with greater efficiency than its predecessors.
Now with the stable version, the company highlights significant improvements in its new AI model compared to the previous O1-preview version. Users can expect faster, more accurate performance, especially in coding and math tasks. The model also introduces the ability to analyze and reason about images, demonstrating significant advances in its capabilities. Additionally, it has been trained to provide more concise responses, ensuring quicker response times and a better overall user experience. These upgrades focus on increasing both technical efficiency and usability.
Will ChatGPT add ads soon?
According to a recent interview with Financial Express, OpenAI’s CFO Sarah Fryer indicated that the company is considering this. He said OpenAI is exploring more revenue options, but there are no active plans as of now.
Currently, the company is moving towards a for-profit model and is entering the online search market with its AI-powered search engine, which is set to take on Google. Reports indicate that OpenAI has recently hired advertising experts from top tech companies like Meta and Google, indicating that advertising may soon be available. It has been integrated into its flagship model ChatGPT.
