OnePlus Turbo 6 series launch confirmed, may arrive in India as Nord 6 series
OnePlus has officially confirmed the launch of the all-new Turbo series for China. Two devices – Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are rumored to be coming to India as the next Nord series. Here’s everything you need to know.
OnePlus has been busy for a few months now with the launch of the flagship OnePlus 15 and then the OnePlus 15R. However, it seems the Chinese phone maker has no plans to slow down. During a livestream, the company confirmed that the first devices of the Turbo series – Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will be launched in China next month. According to rumors both the phones are likely to arrive in India as Nord 6 series. Here’s everything you need to know about the OnePlus Turbo series.
Before we start, recently, a leak allegedly showed the OnePlus Turbo phone. Now, after seeing official images, it appears that the leaked device was the OnePlus Turbo 6V, which is expected to launch in India as the Nord CE 6.

The OnePlus Turbo 6 follows the company’s new design, similar to what we saw on the OnePlus 15. It has a flat back panel and a square camera module with a plastic frame. Both the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V get almost similar designs, but with slightly different camera modules.
In terms of colors, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will get three shades – black, silver and green, while the Turbo 6V will come in black, blue and white.
The Turbo 6 will come with IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.
Performance and battery of OnePlus Turbo 6
Under the hood, the OnePlus Turbo 6 will likely use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, with a focus on delivering strong performance. The Turbo 6V is expected to come with Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset.
The main focus of the OnePlus Turbo series is the battery. Both phones will come with a massive 9,000mAh silicon-carbon cell with support for 80W fast charging.
OnePlus Turbo 6 camera and display
OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V will have the same camera setup. Both phones will pack a 50-megapixel main and 8-megapixel ultrawide, paired with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The display will be a point of difference for both the models. The OnePlus Turbo 6 will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The Turbo 6V is expected to have a 1.5K AMOLED screen but with a 144Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus Turbo Series Launch
OnePlus will launch the Turbo series in China on January 8 at 7pm local time (6:30am IST). The Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V are expected to launch in India as the Nord 6 and Nord CE 6 respectively.
