The OnePlus Pad 2 is said to be launched in the second half of 2024.

OnePlus Pad Pro is set to launch soon. The company has published a teaser of the new tablet that will be announced alongside the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone. The device could be the successor to the first-generation OnePlus Pad, which received good reviews for its price-to-performance ratio. But, since the Pro name has been added to it, the new tablet could be an upgraded version of the Pad and is expected to be priced higher than the original version. Here’s everything to know.

The OnePlus Pad Pro is arriving in China on June 27. At the moment, there is no information about its India launch, but the tablet will likely come to the country as India is one of the key markets for the brand. The OnePlus Pad was made available at Rs 37,999 and the Pro version is expected to be priced slightly higher than that.

The teaser image shared by the company shows that the OnePlus Pad Pro will have the same design that we saw in the first version. This shows that the device will continue to offer a slim and sleek design in the green color model. This time, there is also a gray color variant. It will also have support for stylus and keyboard. The screen has minimal bezels. OnePlus has probably improved the design and made some minor changes to make the device even better, something we will get to know better when it launches in India.

The main upgrade will probably be in the hardware department as the design is almost identical. The specifications of the new version are still under wraps, so it’s hard to talk about its performance right now.

To recall, the OnePlus Pad features an 11.6-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, full-HD+ resolution, and 500 nits brightness (typical). The tablet is powered by MediaTek’s flagship SoC Dimensity 9000 SoC and a 9510mAh battery. The latter supports 65W SuperVOOC charging technology. The SoC comes paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology to let users load apps faster and switch between them. The OnePlus Pad weighs barely 552 grams and measures 6.5mm in thickness.

The rear panel includes a 13-megapixel camera with EIS support. It can record 4K videos at 30fps. The front has an 8-megapixel camera with support for full-HD recording at 30fps. The OnePlus Pad has a Wi-Fi only variant, and the LTE variant may be added to the future generation of tablets. As of now, you cannot use your SIM card to access the internet on the go.
