OnePlus is preparing to launch a new tablet at its lineup, OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, later this year. Leak from China has revealed the detailed specifications of the upcoming OnePlus device, suggesting that it could be the most advanced Android tablet from the company.
The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro has been tipped to run on Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, known for its top level performance. Interestingly, a seven-core version of the chipset recently surfaced online, but the latest rumor claims that the device will have eight CPU core. Along with this, the tablet is likely to offer LPDDR5X RA and storage options up to 16GB that reaches 1TB of UFS 4.0 for rapid data processing.
The upcoming OnePlus Tablet is rumored to facilitate a large 13.2-inch LCD display with 3.4K resolution, promising a sharp and vivid view experience. On the camera front, the device may be equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera at the back, allowing it suitable for both photography and video calls.
The OnePlus Pad 2 Pro will also probably be powered by a strong 10,000mAh battery, although the exact fast charging glasses are not yet confirmed. This is expected to support either 67W or 80W fast charging, to ensure that users do not have to worry about battery life, even with heavy use.
With such high end specifications, the tablet premium can set a new standard for Android Tablet. However, it is still uncertain whether OnePlus will launch this device globally or limit it to the Chinese market. Given the widespread popularity of the brand, global release is expected.
In terms of pricing, initial estimates suggest that the price of OnePlus Pad 2 Pro may be between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000, which is looking at the company’s reputation for offering premium features at flagship-level chipset and competitive prices. For reference, OnePlus Pad 2 was launched in India for Rs 39,999, and the original OnePlus pad started from Rs 37,999. This means that the Pro version can draw buyers in search of top-off-the-line glasses with premium price tag.
With the construction of the expectation, all the eyes are on the OnePlus for an official announcement on the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, which is expected to create waves in the tablet market later this year.
