OnePlus Nord 5 is set to launch in India on 8 July, which is just 1 week away. The device is surrounded by speculation for weeks, and while the company has not yet revealed everything, many leaks have painted a fairly detailed picture of what users can expect. From a sharp processor to a huge battery, the Nord 5 can offer more than the current model, especially in terms of day-to-day performance and charging speed. Here are the details based on the leak.
OnePlus Nord 5 India launched in 1 week: expected price and glasses
New processor?
One of the largest updates coming with OnePlus Nord 5 is under the hood. This phone is officially confirmed to walk on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8S General 3 chipset. This is a remarkable step from Snapdragon 7+ gene 3 used in Nord 4. This new chip falls into the high-end category and is expected to easily handle heavy apps, gaming and multitasking.
Initially, some reports suggested that OnePlus MediaTek Dymenties may use 9400e, which would be a bold step. This processor offers close performance to Snapdragon 8 General 3, and if it was used, it would be a major jump in this segment. However, even with 8S General 3, Nord 5 appears to be the most powerful Nord phone ever.
Battery may be its biggest highlight
Where OnePlus feels the most noticeable change is the size of the battery. Nord 5 is rumored to come up with a huge 7,000mAh battery, rarely seen in some smartphones, especially less than Rs 30,000. This can give Nord 5 a serious lead in terms of endurance, especially for those who are on their phones throughout the day. To make this large battery quick and free from trouble, OnePlus has also been tipped to include support for 100W wired charging.
Flat OLED screen and new design?
On the front, the OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to sports a flat OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution. While the precise performance size is still not clear, there is a chance that the company can maintain a screen of 4 to 6.74 inch or may be slightly larger than viewing the large battery inside.
In terms of the look, OnePlus Nord 4’s dual-tone is moving away from finish and horizontal camera setup. Nord 5 is a tablet -shaped, vertical camera module, which gives it a refreshing appearance. Nothing out of the initial teaser indicates light colored options such as off-white and pel blue, the Nord series corresponding to the clean design language has followed in the past.
For construction materials, tipsrs suggest that OnePlus Nord 5 can switch to a glass back connected with a plastic frame, a change that can help reduce costs and weight. However, it may also feel a little premium that the Nord 4’s metal frame introduced. We have to see if these rumors are true and how the trade-offs play in everyday use.
Camera upgrade?
Unlike battery and chipset, leaks suggest that the camera setup may not get a major upgrade this time. If rumors are true, OnePlus Nord 5 will take the same 50-megapixel main sensor and 8-megapixel ultravide lens as its predecessor. On the front, the phone may include a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Although these details have not yet been confirmed by the brand, OnePlus is expected to improve the camera experience. This can rely on better image tuning to improve results rather than changing hardware. It is also possible that even if the number looks the same, the quality of the sensor has been improved.
OnePlus Nord 5: Price in India (required)
OnePlus has not yet disclosed pricing, but the phone for the base model has been tipped for a cost of less than Rs 30,000. To remember, the initial price of Nord 3 was Rs 33,999 and Nord 4 was introduced at a lower price of Rs 29,999. If the OnePlus continues with the same pricing strategy, the Nord 5 can offer solid value for the price, especially with performance and upgradation in the battery.
