OnePlus has announced that it is also riding on AI Bandwagan. While the company announced a couple of AI facilities earlier, today it is declaring a comprehensive suit of functionality and hardware integration under the new OnePlus AI brand.
The new AI facilities will start at the upcoming OnePlus 13S. The phone has a dedicated button on the side of The Plus, which replaces the iconic alert slider of the OnePlus. This button will let you reach other features, but will also play an important role in enabling one of the major features of this new effort.
OnePlus calls it AI Mind Space. This feature can be activated by pressing and holding the plus key (when set on mind space function). Using something called AI Plus Mind, the feature scans the contents of the screen and helps you later save, catalog and remember that information. For example, it can detect dates or events and add them to its calendar, detect places and places and can provide more information on them, or translate any foreign language that may exist.
All this information is saved within the mind space, where screenshots and extracted information are sorted to perusel. Using AI search, users can also type a querry based on information in mind space using natural language and at the end of this year, AI Plus Mind will automatically classify the material saved.
The AI Plus Mind will debut in the 13s, but through the future updates the OnePlus 13 will reach the rest of the series, with a latter to reach other equipment. On devices without plus key, the feature can be accessed by swiping on the screen with three fingers.
In addition to the plus mind, OnePlus also has a series of other AI features. AI VoicesCribe can record, briefly and translate calls and meetings within popular messages, videos and online meeting applications. The AI Call Assistant (India Exclusive) will provide an option for automatic call summary or real-time call translation during the call within the new OnePlus dialer app.
AI translates all translation capabilities in the same app in the translation app, live voice, camera-based and screen translations in the same app. AI search, as mentioned earlier, will find any information on your phone using the natural language query. The AI reframe found within the photo app will analyze the photo scenes and generate several creative frameing options for users. Finally, AI Best Face 2.0 can automatically detect and correct issues such as closed eyes and ineffective manifestations.
OnePlus is also increasing its integration with Google Gemini, now able to work in Oxygenos apps with Gemini, such as OnePlus notes, clock, and more. Gemini is also supported with live camera and screen sharing.
Regarding privacy concerns, OnePlus stated that it prefer on-device processing for highly sensitive information. When more intensive calculations are required, it uses a safe, private computing cloud for a safe, encrypted environment for processing. It uses a reliable execution environment that spreads the user’s device, cloud server and data transfer process.
