While the world waits for the OnePlus 13s to make its official start, OnePlus has adopted a slightly different route – quietly launching two new 5G phones under its ACE 5 lineup in China. These are OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and ACE 5 racing versions. Both phones are operated by MediaTek’s latest demism 9400 series chipsets and come up with solid hardware throughout the board – large battery, fast charging and high refresh rate amoled display. And here it is interesting that it becomes interesting: while the ACE series is usually exclusive to China, rumor to launch one of these two devices as Nord 5 in India.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, Ace 5 Racing Edition: Price and Availability
The OnePlus Ace 5 racing version is more economical, starting at CNY 1,799 (about 21,300 rupees), which is for 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. It goes up to CNY 2,499 (about 29,600 rupees) for 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra is deployed as a high-end device. Its price starts at 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option at CNY 2,499 (about 29,600 rupees) and goes to the top-end model with 16GB RAM and CNY with 1TB storage to CNY 3,799 (about 45,000 rupees).
Both phones are already on sale in China. Although there is no word at the global launch yet, rumors indicate that one of these two phones may be launched as Nord 5 in India. However, OnePlus has not officially confirmed this yet.
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, Ace 5 Racing Edition: Spakes & Major Features
OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra comes with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a variable refresh rate that leads to 144Hz and 1.5K resolution. It supports the brightness of the peak up to 1,400 nits. Below the hood, the 9400+ chip is paired with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. You get a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 Primary rear camera, which is combined with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and 4K 60fps video recording. There is also a 16-megapixel front camera for selfie.
Ace 5 runs on Ultra Cololos 15 anop Android 15, and features a 6,700mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. You also get features like in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speaker and Wi-Fi 7.
Meanwhile, the 6.77 -inch AMOLED screen is slightly smaller with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 NIT glow in the OnePlus ACE 5 racing version. It operates at a distance of 9400e, and is paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The camera setup is more basic here, with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. It still supports 4K 60fps video, and has a 16-megapixel front camera.
The large highlight of the Ace 5 racing version is its 7,100mAh battery, the largest in any OnePlus phone, added with 80W fast charging. Other features like Coloros 15 are similar to Ultra based on Android 15, Wi-Fi 7, Stereo Speaker, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
