OnePlus 15: full specifications

Fresh design and performance

Moving away from its old circular module, the OnePlus 15 adopts a sleek square camera island like the OnePlus 13S, giving it a balanced and modern look. On the front, it features a 6.78-inch third-generation BOE Flexible AMOLED display that supports 165Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution (1272×2772 pixels). The screen offers 1,800 nits local brightness and 3600 nits peak brightness. It offers 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and reproduces 1.07 billion colors, promising both seamless viewing and excellent color accuracy. With a 330Hz touch sampling rate, high refresh rate, and 450 ppi pixel density, OnePlus says the panel is tuned for responsiveness, especially during high-speed gaming sessions or quick navigation.

Chipset and Battery

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the main powerhouse here, with two high-performance cores and six efficiency cores clocked at up to 4.608GHz. Together, they promise to deliver top-tier performance without compromising battery life. Speaking of which, OnePlus has gone bigger this year with a 7,300mAh battery, making it its largest among mainstream flagships. It supports 120W Super Flash Charge and 50W Wireless Flash Charge for rapid wired charging, allowing users to refuel their phones in minutes instead of hours.

camera

The OnePlus 15 sports a triple 50-megapixel camera system at the back. The main sensor has an f/1.8 aperture and 24mm focal length. The second lens is a 50MP ultra-wide shooter (f/2.0), while the third is a 50MP telephoto unit (f/1.8) for zoomed shots. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.4) on the front. The rear setup supports 8K video recording at 30fps.

Connectivity, water resistant rating and more

Connectivity options are just as premium as the rest of the package, including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS. It also has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which provides faster and more accurate authentication than traditional optical sensors. The phone comes with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, offering one of the strongest sets of water and dust protection credentials seen on any smartphone to date.

The list of onboard sensors includes everything from proximity and gyroscope to laser focus and spectrum sensors. The addition of an IR blaster expands its versatility, allowing users to control other smart devices directly from the phone. Despite its massive battery, the OnePlus 15 maintains a manageable footprint. It measures 161.42 x 76.67 x 8.10 mm and weighs around 211 grams, making it substantial and well balanced in the hand.
