After months of leaks, OnePlus 13t will finally be launched in China tomorrow, marking the return of its T-series lineup after more than two years. But this time the company cannot live with the same branding in all markets. Rumors suggest that OnePlus is planning to introduce this tool under a new ‘S’ series in global markets, possibly to refresh the major identity of its mid-year without retiring the T-series completely.
While the exact reason behind the new naming strategy is not clear, it can be a step to separate the Chinese version from the global one – potentially giving the brand more room to design and experiment with features for different audiences. In India, the phone is expected to be launched as OnePlus 13S. Here is a look at the leaked glasses, design, value and other details of OnePlus 13T.
OnePlus 13T: New Design, Small Performance?
With OnePlus 13T, the company is moving away from its curved-duni designs and adopting a more flat-dominant approach. The phone has a compact 6.32-inch OLED display with round corners and flat sides, making it more manageable for one-handed use. It will be available in three colors – Morning Mist Gray, Cloud Inc. black, and a standout pink edition – all characterized by a soft matte finish.
OnePlus has also introduced a rear -designed camera layout at the back, called “Metal Cube Deco”. This metal camera module is well mixed with the rest of the back panel and gives the phone a minimum appearance. Meanwhile, the iconic alert slider is replaced with a new adaptable physical button that can still togle the sound profile, but also does other functions based on the user preference.
OnePlus 13T: Full glasses, features
Under the hood, OnePlus 13T has been touched to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 General 3 Elite Edition Chip – the same processor that is giving power to more premium OnePlus 13. The device also has a 1.5K 120Hz OLED panel, which should complement its performance with sharp scenes and smooth animations. However, looking at its compact form factor, it will be interesting to see how well the phone heat during intensive use.
Camera-wise, OnePlus is taking a slightly different view. Instead of packing several sensors, the phone is asked to come with just two-a 50-megapixel main sensor and 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. This idea may be to attack the correct balance between utility and image quality rather than inflating the imagination sheet. However, it has not been officially confirmed.
The phone is expected to be a large 6,260mAh battery under the hood, adding 90W fast charging. This can give 13T an edge in endurance, especially in a compact flagship segment where battery life is often compromised. At its top, the device is rumored to facilitate both IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, some rarely seen together in this category.
OnePlus 13T: Price and Competition
The official pricing will be revealed at the time of launch, but OnePlus is expected to be priced at a range of 13t that competes with other compact flagships. In India, phones like Vivo X200 and Xiaomi 15 are priced around Rs 65,000, while Apple’s iPhone 16E and Google’s Pixel 9A are less than Rs 60,000. Keeping this in mind, OnePlus 13T (or 13S) can be priced at Rs 60,000 – Rs 70,000, which aims to offer flagship performance at a relatively affordable price point.
OnePlus 13T: India launched timeline
While tomorrow’s incident is limited to the Chinese market, reports suggest that OnePlus 13T phone will come in India as OnePlus 13S, with the possibility of a launch for June 2025. Given the strong presence of OnePlus in India, it is only some time before the company makes it official.
