OnePlus has officially launched the launch of OnePlus 13 in India. The company shared the first look of the upcoming smartphone on its website along with X (East Twitter), which revealed the important details about the design, colors and a couple of its main specifications. While the exact launch date has not been announced yet, the teaser shows that the launch is happening soon. OnePlus 13S is expected to be a rebranded version of OnePlus 13T, which was launched in China earlier this month.
The teaser shared by the company shows OnePlus 13S in two color options – black and pink. The rear design has a dual camera setup, and the overall look is similar to OnePlus 13T that has recently made its debut in China. The names of the color variants have not been revealed yet, but more information is expected to be close to launch.
OnePlus 13S will come with a 6.32-inch display, perhaps a Ltpo Amoled panel with a full-HD+ resolution. It is also expected to support an adaptive fresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, which should help give smooth views while saving battery life. The display is expected to facilitate Oppo’s crystal shield glass for better security against scratch and contingent drops.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the 13s will run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset, which promises solid performance for gaming, multitasking and everyday use. The phone will also come with a new shortcut key instead of the traditional alert slider. This shortcut key can be adapted to do quick actions such as switching sound profiles or launching apps.
When it comes to the camera, OnePlus 13S is expected to facilitate a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a 50-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. There will be no ultra-wide camera on this device. On the front, the 16-megapixel camera will handle selfie and video calls.
Regardless of its compact size, OnePlus 13S is expected to pack the 6,260mAh silicone-carbon battery along with support for 80W fast charging. The device is expected to come up with an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
OnePlus 13S: Expected Price and Availability
While the price of India has not been officially declared, OnePlus 13T was launched in China with an initial price of CNY 3,399 (about Rs 39,700). Depending on the company’s pricing pattern, the price of OnePlus 13S can start from around 45,000 to 50,000 rupees in India. This will keep it slightly above the OnePlus 13R, which is currently available at an initial price of Rs 42,999, but below OnePlus 13, which starts from Rs 69,999 in India.
If the OnePlus price manages to keep the competitive, 13S may appeal to buyers in search of a flagship experience in a small, easy-to——four form factor. He said, how much this phone will eat in the sale of their siblings, on both sides of the price spectrum, it is yet to be seen.
More details, including launch date and accurate pricing, are expected to be declared in the coming weeks.
