OnePlus has launched its new flagship smartphone OnePlus 13 in China. Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, the phone includes a large 6,000mAh battery – a marked improvement over its predecessor. Although it is currently only available in China, it is expected to launch globally, with an India release expected in January 2025.

The OnePlus 13 comes in four models: the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced starting at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 53,100), and the high-end 24GB + 1TB model is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 70,900). It features a quad-curved design, giving it a flat, sophisticated look, plus it features a 6.82-inch BOE X2 OLED display that supports 1440p resolution and adaptive refresh rates from 1-120Hz. The brightness of the display reaches 4,500 nits, making it exceptionally bright.

A unique addition is the large vibration motor, which provides feedback similar to gaming controllers. The OnePlus 13 also introduces an IP69 rating, which provides additional protection against high-pressure water and steam.

Photography is another focus, with a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup co-engineered with Hasselblad, consisting of a main Sony LYT-808 sensor, a 3x periscope lens, and an ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro camera. Also works. There is a 32 megapixel front camera for selfie. The phone runs ColorOS 15 on Android 15 in China, the global model is expected to use OxygenOS 15, and supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

IQOO 13

iQOO 13 has been launched in China, equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It also includes iQOO’s in-house Q2 gaming chip and runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 5. The phone is expected to be launched in India soon.

In China, the iQOO 13 is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,200) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, going up to CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 61,400) for the 16GB + 1TB model. It is available on Vivo China e-store in four colors: Isle of Man, Legendary Edition, Nardo Grey, and Track Edition.

The iQOO 13 features a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10 OLED display with LTPO 2.0 technology, support for 144Hz refresh rate, and HDR. Its camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. A 32-megapixel front camera completes the setup, and the rear camera module features an “Energy Halo” LED with customizable lighting effects.

This smartphone is equipped with a 6,150mAh battery which supports 120W wired charging. It also has an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The dimensions of the device vary slightly between versions, with weight ranging from 207 grams to 213 grams.

realme gt7 pro

Realme’s upcoming flagship, the GT7 Pro, has raised excitement with a recent price leak indicating a launch price of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,100) in China for its base model. If accurate, this is more than the GT5 Pro’s launch price of CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs. 40,000). Expected to launch in both India and China in November, the GT7 Pro could bring notable upgrades targeting premium users.

The GT7 Pro is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch OLED Plus display with a higher resolution of 2780×1264 pixels. It is expected to support 1Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate and reach a peak brightness of up to 6000 nits, which is ideal for outdoor visibility. With Dolby Vision and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, the display promises vibrant visuals, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm processor and Adreno 830 GPU, it may offer configurations with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of storage with UFS 4.0 technology. The phone is likely to run Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0.

The camera setup may include a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, as well as a 16MP front camera. A larger 6500mAh battery with 120W fast charging is expected, along with dual stereo speakers, 5G support, Wi-Fi 7, and more, positioning the GT7 Pro as a competitive flagship option.
