One of the most loved couples of the South Industry, Ram Charan and Upasana have known each other for a very long time. The two met during their college days and soon became each other’s best friends and confidants.

The two drifted apart after their college days but Ram realised his feelings for his girlfriend during the shooting of a film. Yes, that’s right.
The Game Changer actor had once revealed that he started dating Upasana only after his film Magadheera. After a few years of dating, the couple talked to their families about it. Both the families were extremely happy and thus, the two took their relationship a step forward by exchanging wedding rings on December 11, 2011.

After the gorgeous engagement of this beautiful couple in Hyderabad, their families decided not to wait much longer for the wedding. Finally, a year later, on June 14, 2012, Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni went from being college buddies to officially becoming husband and wife.

Their wedding was a grand South Indian traditional ceremony. The wedding photos went viral instantly. After so many years of marriage, the love between the two is only growing with time.
According to Bollywoodshaadi.com, Ram had once spoken about his relationship with his wife Upasana and said, “It still feels like we are friends. Also, she always takes great care of me.”
He said, “She makes everything special for me. Which man wouldn’t be impressed by so much attention and affection? She remembers every small and big habit of mine.”
Ram Charan and Upasana Konidela blessed with a daughter
After 11 years of marital bliss, the power couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on June 20, 2023. In a recent interview with Times of India, Upasana spoke about Ram Charan being a wonderful father.
She credited her husband for being her unpaid therapist and said, “During my postpartum period, my husband was my therapist and went to stay with me at my parents’ house. I understand this is not the same for all mothers, so they need to prioritise their well-being and seek professional help if needed.”
“His loving attention and active involvement in raising Klin Kara has made this phase more enriching. Even her eating habits are similar to that of Mr C. She is a true konidela,” he added.
What’s next for Ram Charan?
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ram Charan will be next seen in Game Changer. Directed by S Shankar, the film is a political thriller in which the actor will be seen playing an IAS officer. Apart from the RRR actor, Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah and Anjali among others will be seen in prominent roles in the film.
The makers had released the song Jaragandi featuring Kiara Advani and Ram Charan last month which received a positive response from the audience.
Although the makers are still yet to announce the release date, it is expected that the Ram Charan starrer will hit the theatres in September or October this year.
