Here are the top 5 foods he recommends starting your day with:

1. Makhana

Makhana is quite common in states like West Bengal, Bihar and Assam. These crunchy roasted lotus seeds are a great option for breakfast. Rich in healthy fats, carbohydrates and protein, makhana provides energy and helps keep sugar cravings at bay in the morning.

2. Nolen Jaggery (Date Palm Jaggery)

Skip the refined sugar and go for the natural candy, also known as Nolan Jaggery. Derived from the sap of dates, this natural sweetener is a treasure trove of essential minerals like potassium, magnesium and iron. Date jaggery helps in a steady and gradual release of energy, keeping you energised for longer.

3. Ghee

Unlike butter, adding ghee to your breakfast can do wonders for your health. Rich in fatty acids, it is essential for brain functioning and overall health. It also aids in the absorption of vitamins.

4. Walnuts

These brain-shaped nuts are rich in fibre, protein and fatty acids. Walnuts help boost brain function, improve focus and prevent unhealthy snacking by keeping you full for a longer period of time. So, make sure to include them in your diet.
