Actress Nupur Sanon opens up on her interfaith marriage with singer-husband Stebin Benn. Nupur also revealed how her elder sister, actor Kriti Sanon, reassured her mother about Stebin.

Nupur, in an interview with etimessaid, “The first person I told Stebin about was my sister (Kriti Sanon). We are five years apart but extremely close, we’re like best friends. At that time, Stebin had just started professionally, so there wasn’t much to show career-wise. I talked more about him as a person. I played him his voice, and he immediately said he had a magical voice and immense talent.”

“A few months later, I told my mother. In the beginning, she was a little unsure like most mothers, cautious about the seriousness and the future. That’s when my sister stepped in and told her, ‘I’ve met Stebin. I’ve heard him. He’s extremely talented and hard-working.’ That confidence changed everything. And honestly, Stebin makes a really good impression when he meets people, so it all falls into place from there,” he added.

Nupur and Stebin got married in a mix of Christian and traditional Hindu ceremonies, cultures and customs in Udaipur earlier this month. The celebrations began on 10–11 January with an intimate Christian ceremony, followed by Hindu rituals, and was attended by close family and friends.

Following the Christian wedding, Nupur and Stebin shared official photos, captioning, “I do. I do. I will forever and ever.” Posting glimpses of her Hindu wedding, Nupur shared the pictures adding a Punjabi doha which read, “You are my tomorrow’s peace, my tomorrow’s Venus (You are my peace yesterday and the reason for my gratitude today).”
