After launching the Nothing Phone (2) in 2023, CEO Carl Pei has finally confirmed that the company will launch its flagship, the Nothing Phone (3) in 2025. According to a tipster, Evan Blass, Pei confirmed the news via email. He shared that this year will be the company’s biggest year ever. This, he said, is mostly due to the launch of the Nothing Phone (3), which will be the company’s first step towards an AI-powered platform.
In an email shared by Blas (@evleaks) on X, Pei said that with the Nothing Phone (3), the company is aiming to redefine the user experience of personal computing devices. In other words, it aims to make the user’s life easier.

Finally, the email also said that the Nothing Phone (3) will launch in the first quarter of 2025. This means that the launch could be seen by the end of March. Earlier, the company was in the headlines for phone delays.

The launch of the Nothing Phone 3 in 2025 marks a significant departure from the typical annual refresh cycle of high-end smartphones. The Nothing Phone 1 is slated to debut in India in 2022, followed by the flagship Nothing Phone 2 in July 2023. However, the two-year gap before the release of the next version suggests a substantial upgrade. According to Carl Pei, the Nothing Phone 3 will focus heavily on AI-powered features.
Nothing Phone (3): What we know so far
According to the leak, the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 is rumored to offer several new features, including iPhone-inspired action buttons and a 6.5-inch display. Additionally, a Pro variant, the Nothing Phone 3 Pro, is expected to launch alongside it, which will feature a larger 6.7-inch screen.
The Action button, reminiscent of the feature found on iPhones, is expected to offer customizable controls, letting users launch apps, toggle settings, or create personalized shortcuts. This addition highlights Nothing’s commitment to blending user-centric innovation with modern design aesthetics.
In a video previously shared on X, Pei and his team explained the early AI features they discovered. He explained how the Nothing Phone 3 will be at the heart of a highly personalized experience.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 3 will have AI deeply integrated with the operating system to provide a personalized user experience. According to the video, the re-imaging of the home screen could be the first upgrade of the Nothing Phone 3.
Additionally, the upcoming Nothing phone (3) is expected to feature mid-range chipsets like Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 or MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. For reference, the Nothing Phone 2 equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset entered the premium price segment. This option hints at a potentially more affordable price point for the Phone 3.
The Nothing Phone 1 launched in India at a starting price of Rs 32,999, while the Phone 2, with its higher specifications, launched at Rs 44,999 for the base variant. Going back to the mid-range focus, the Phone 3 could appeal to a wider audience, while the Pro version is likely to target users looking for top-tier performance and features.
