Nothing Phone 2a Plus: Specifications and Features
Nothing told India Today Tech that for the Phone 2A Plus, the company has used the new Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset, which it has developed in collaboration with MediaTek keeping in mind specific requirements. Although the Nothing Phone 2A Plus is not being advertised as a gaming smartphone, Nothing is confident that this smartphone can handle light to moderate gaming with ease.
The chipset features TSMC’s 4nm Gen 2 technology, with 8 cores running at up to 3.0 GHz. Nothing says this is about 10 percent faster than the Phone 2a. The chipset has an ARM Mali-G610 GPU for graphics. Running at up to 1.3 GHz, Nothing claims the Phone 2a Plus is 30 percent faster than the Phone 2a.
While the Nothing Phone 2a Plus features the same 5,000mAh battery as the Phone 2a, the charging speed has been upgraded from 33W to 50W.
Apart from this, the camera system on the Nothing Phone 2A Plus has also been upgraded. The smartphone now features three 50-megapixel cameras, one on the front for selfies and two on the back. Breaking down the camera specs, the main camera on the back is a 50-megapixel sensor with a f/1.88 lens, paired with an ultra-wide 50-megapixel sensor with a 114-degree field of view. All three sensors support direct 50-megapixel photo output, and support HDR photos and 4K video recording.
The Phone 2a Plus features the same FHD+ 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1300 nits and supports a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. However, what has been upgraded is the pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming, which is now tuned to 2160 Hz.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus comes with NothingOS 2.6 out-of-the-box, which is based on Android 14. Nothing also promises 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus comes with ChatGPT integration that can be setup via the Nothing X app.
