Just days after revealing the delay of the Nothing Phone 3, the CEO has given a glimpse of the new OS. Nothing CEO Carl Pei took to X to give a first look at Nothing OS 3.0. In the post, Pei shared some images of the new OS, revealing one of the upcoming features in Nothing OS 3.0.

Nothing OS 3.0 will have a new lock screen customization feature. It is clear from the post that the company is working on revamping the lock screen interface by adding more functionality and features. The pictures show that users will be able to choose from three options to personalize their lock screen style.

Nothing OS 3.0 may also introduce other styles, but Pei has only teased three, Default, Clock+Widget and Extended widget area. In the images by Pei, the style shows the clock in a dotted font with a weather widget, a contact widget and shortcuts to quick actions. Quick actions may let you add more to the lock screen.

The third option, Extended Widget Area, is an extended version of the Clock+ widget type style with larger tiles. In the image posted by Pei, this style has both analog and digital clocks on display, as well as an extended widget for the time and day. In this style, users can add a lot more to the lock screen.

Pei has posted a picture showing that the dot will have three layers. Input image layer, live interaction layer and the final output layer, which makes it more interactive.
