After months of beta testing, Nothing has officially started rolling out the stable version of its Nothing OS 3.0 update, which is based on Android 15. This update is now slowly making its way to Nothing Phone 2 and Phone 2A users. If you have one of these devices, you may not see the update immediately as it is being released in phases, so some users may have to wait several days or weeks before it appears. The company has said that the rollout process may take till the end of the year to reach every device.

To check if the update is available for your Nothing smartphone, you can check for it manually by going to Settings > System Updates. If it’s not there yet, don’t worry – it should be coming to your phone soon.

The Nothing OS 3.0 stable update brings a number of exciting features that aim to make the user experience smoother and more personalized. One of the standout features is the new Nothing Gallery app. It’s designed to help you find photos more easily with enhanced search options. You can also make quick edits to your photos using simple tools like filters, markup, and smart suggestions. The lock screen has also been given a new look. Now you can customize it to make it feel like you. One nice feature is the ability to add shared widgets to the lock screen, which lets you stay connected with friends and family. There’s also a countdown widget, so you can keep track of important events right from your lock screen. Another useful addition is the Smart Drawer, which uses AI to automatically organize your apps into folders. This will make it easier to find what you need which can save you time. Other updates include revised Quick Settings for faster access to controls, an improved pop-up view for multitasking, and new system fonts that are cleaner and easier to read.

Although Nothing has revealed many of these features, they have hinted at other performance and visual improvements that have not yet been detailed. There is also good news for those using other nothing devices. This update will be released in early 2025 for Nothing Phone 1, Nothing Phone 2A Plus, and CMF Phone 1. Nothing says an update is just around the corner for these devices, so keep an eye out.
