Cooku With Comali is a popular reality TV show in which famous celebrities come together to prepare amazing dishes to impress the judges. Recently, host Mani Megalai announced her quitting the show citing shocking reasons. She revealed that she was overshadowed by another female anchor during the latest season of Cooku With Comali.
Mani Megalai wrote a long note on her Instagram handle narrating her ordeal and sharing her side of the story. She wrote that the other female anchor deliberately interrupted her during the shooting of the show. No action was taken even after she raised her concerns.
Mani Megalai further explained that despite a career spanning 15 years as an anchor, she had never encountered such unprofessionalism or immature behaviour on any show.
She wrote, “Nothing is more important than self-respect! I follow this strictly in all stages of my life. No matter the fame, money, career, opportunities or whatever. Everything becomes secondary when it comes to self-respect. So I walked away from CWC.”
“This season was dominated by another female anchor, especially in the anchor portion, who was actually supposed to be the cook of the show but she often forgets that and deliberately interferes a lot in the anchor portion and doesn’t let me work. Asking for my rights and voicing concerns has also become a crime this season. But I will always voice what is right for me and I don’t care about anyone. A lot of negativity and dominance affects the originality of the show. This is not the same CWC that I enjoyed working in earlier. So I am not a part of it anymore,” Mani Megalai added.

Mani Megalai is a popular TV presenter who has also worked as a video jockey in the early days of his career. He worked as a VJ for Sun Music. However, he gained fame for hosting Kooku with Comali due to its entertainment content.
