Nothing and CMF set new sales records in India before Bengaluru store opening
2025 has been nothing good in India. The performance of its spinoff CMF was even more impressive. This news comes just days before the opening of Nothing’s first brand store in Bengaluru.

2025 was even more promising for Nothing and its spinoff brand CMF in India, where both brands recorded strong sales highlighting the scope of differentiated technology in a highly competitive market. Citing data from Counterpoint Research’s Q4 2025 India smartphone shipment tracker, Nothing reiterated that it recorded a record year-on-year (YOY) growth of 32 percent during the fourth quarter of 2025. CMF’s numbers were apparently even more impressive. Counterpoint data shows it achieved 59 per cent year-on-year growth in Q4 2025, while cumulative growth for the full year (YOY) stood at 83 per cent. The report said that both Nothing and CMF were the fastest growing smartphone brands in their respective categories during this period.
Nothing, CMF has become big in India
The figures are particularly encouraging for CMF as it has only recently started operating completely as a separate legal entity from India. The brand also roped in Akis Evangelidis, one of Nothing’s co-founders, and sent him to India to lead more hands-on operations as its India head. To further strengthen the brand’s India and global ambitions, Nothing recently set up a $100 million manufacturing joint venture with Optimus. The intention is to make India a major export hub for CMF and Nothing products. There is no success in anything based on local expansion. Its first store in India is scheduled to open in Bengaluru on 14 February. This will be Nothing’s second flagship store in the world, the other being in London, home of Nothing’s headquarters.
“Thank you, India, for the incredible support,” Evangelidis posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the growth update. Further, he wrote, “Excited to keep building what’s next and look forward to seeing you at the launch of our flagship store in Bengaluru on 14th February. Let’s go!”
The Nothing India store will serve as a one-stop shop for all things Nothing and CMF. This will allow fans and potential buyers to touch and feel its products before purchasing, whether it’s smartphones like the Phone 3 and Phone 3A or audio gear like the Headphones 1 and CMF Headphones Pro. Given how closely Nothing likes to follow – or be inspired by – Apple, we can expect this store to offer a different shopping experience and potentially serve as a hub for conversations around design and software.
From the data it appears that whatever it is doing is resonating with the market and their target audience. In other but related news, Nothing chief Carl Pei has confirmed there will be no new Phone 4 this year. Instead, the soon-to-be-launched 4A series of phones will offer a flagship-like experience. The opening of the flagship store will give people another great option to try out products like the Phone 4A before investing.
