Tamil Crime thriller Maran hit the big screen back on 27 June 2025. The film marked the beginning of the direction of Leo John Paul, and its screenplay was marked without faults by the audience within a very short period. About a month after its dramatic run, the film is now ready for its OTT release.
When and where to see maargan
Maargan will start streaming on Tentcotta from 25 July. The OTT veteran confirmed the same with a post on his X handle. However, it will be available only to look outside India.
He wrote, “When Chhaya speaks, Satan hears … #maargan – Black Devil is ready to get up and rule! Streaming on @Tentkotta (except India) from 25 July only.”
Additionally, for the audience in India, Maargan can be streamful online on prime videos from the same date itself.

The story of Maargan follows the curious case of a serial killer on loose which only targets women. Their method of operating against the victims is using a strange and unknown serum that blacks their body.
Unable to nab the culprit with the police force, a new and skilled ADGP, Dhruv, is assigned to the case, which carefully notices a striking pattern in all crimes by the previous serial killer.
What happens next that Dhruv follows all leads and witnesses in an attempt to catch the culprit. However, he is facing a killer who is more dangerous than anyone, which can ever be anticipated.

The film played Vijay Antony in the lead role, Ajay Dahishan, Kumar Natarajan, P. Samuthikani, Ramachandran Durairaj, Mahanadi Shankar, Vinod Sagar and more prominent roles are included.
Maargan is written and directed by debut Leo John Paul and is produced by Meera Vijay Antony under the banner of Vijay Antony Film Corporation. The lead actor himself has composed the music score.
