Not ashamed: Kangana Ranaut on PM’s meeting with Diljit Dosanjh, Kapoor family, but not with them
Actress Kangana Ranaut had earlier expressed her desire to meet PM Narendra Modi. Now he reacted to PM’s meeting with Diljit Dosanjh and Kapoor family members, but he didn’t.

Actress Kangana Ranaut says that she has a lot of respect and admiration for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now he commented on PM Narendra Modi’s recent meetings with several Bollywood celebs, including singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh and members of the Kapoor family. The actor had recently expressed his desire to meet the audience with the PM. So, when he was asked if he feels bad when he meets other celebs but not her, he said, ‘What’s shameful in that?’
Kangana was speaking on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast when she criticized Diljit for ‘defending’ the farmers protesting against the farm bills in 2020-2021. Referring to Diljit, the 38-year-old said, “He was the main person. He was at the forefront during the farmers’ protest, to defend them, to defend those people. He was at the forefront to defend those people Who were creating havoc.” (Those who were creating ruckus).”
But, did it hurt him when the PM decided to dedicate a few hours from his busy schedule to meet Diljit, listen to his songs and discuss his music with him? Kangana said she did not feel ‘ashamed’. She shared, “What is shameful about it? I don’t feel the need to be ashamed of the fact that the PM did not meet Diljit and not me. For him (PM), everyone is equal.” public,
Kangana also mentioned her friends from the industry, actor Anupam Kher and lyricist Manoj Muntashir, who have had the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister in the past. The actor said that she met him only once for a brief moment, but her meeting others is not ‘disappointing’.
She said, “I was not disappointed. In fact, I have never met him. I may have met him once and said hello but never interacted with him.”
Earlier, in December, actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt met with the entire Kapoor family to extend a personal invitation to them for the Raj Kapoor Film Festival. Without naming any member of the Kapoor family, the actor simply said that she would love to discuss art and artistes with the PM one day.
She told, “You know I’m a big fan of the Prime Minister and I want to interact with him and exchange notes with him and get very insightful about what he thinks about art. I want to discuss.”
Kangana is a BJP MLA (MP) from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The brief meeting she referred to with the PM took place last year when she was campaigning to win the Mandi Lok Sabha seat and PM Modi had joined her in her hometown for the party campaign.
The actor is promoting his film Emergency in the media. The film hit the screens on January 16 after facing several delays following protests by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) demanding a ban on its release.
