No objectionable material: The court rejects the petition against Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 3
The Allahabad High Court recently dismissed Akshay Kumar’s petition against ‘Jolly LLB 3’. The film has been slated to hit a big screen on 19 September.

The Allahabad High Court has demanded a ban on the release of Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Jolly LLB 3’ on the allegations of the legal profession (J Vardhan Shukla and another vs India and 6 others).
A division bench by Justice Sangeeta Chandra and Justice Bridge Raj Singh reviewed all the three official trailers/teasers of the film and concluded that the court intervention was not objectionable to justify.
,We have also gone through songs of songs ‘Bhai Vaikel Hai’ and we did not find anything that could interfere with the practice of legal profession by real advocates, “the court ruled on 2 September.
Petitioner J Vardhan Shukla argued before the court that the film depicts the legal profession in the derogatory light. He further stated that the trailer and songs, widely broadcast on YouTube and other social media platforms, have already begun to prejudice the minds of practicing advocates and causing serious harm to the judiciary.
” Jolly LLB ‘depicting derogatoryThe series discourages individuals from joining the legal profession and creates disillusionment among the students of the law, affecting the future of the justice distribution system, ”the court was told.
In response, Deputy Solicitor General SB Pandey challenged the stability of the petition, given that the petitioner did not give any representation to the competent authority regarding the film. It was further argued that, under the Rules of Information Technology (arbitrator guidelines and digital media ethics code), 2021, people suffering from online material should first contact the mediator or publisher. Agreed with the Union of India’s objection, the court dismissed the petition.
First, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi were called Pune Civil Court in connection with a petition filed against its upcoming film Jolly LLB 3, released on 19 September.
Advocates Vajd Khan (Bidkar) and Ganesh Mahske filed a petition alleging that the teaser of the film portrays lawyers and judges in an abusive manner.
The film has been slated to hit a big screen on 19 September.
