Fardeen Khan, who was one of the lead actors in the 2005 film No Entry, has recently confirmed that he is not a part of its upcoming sequel. During an interview, the star said that No Entry 2, financed by producer Boney Kapoor, will have an all-new cast.
When the actor was interacting with Bollywood Hungama, he was asked if he has been approached by the makers of No Entry 2 to be a part of the comedy film. Opening up about it, Fardeen Khan said that even though the film has been announced, neither he nor the original cast are in it. He added that the film has a completely new star cast. When asked about the reason for his absence in the upcoming comic caper, he said, “You should call Boney Kapoor for this.”
During the same conversation, the Heeramandi actor recalled working in the first installment, No Entry. He said that as an actor, it was his first attempt at doing a full-fledged comedy. Even though it was very different from the way he saw himself, it liberated him as he had to actually let go of everything. Though he was a bit hesitant to do it, Boney convinced him and helped him with it.
No Entry 2 will be produced by Kapoor and directed by Anees Bazmee. To recall, the first film also featured Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitley and Boman Irani.
Fardeen is currently busy with his upcoming film ‘Vistap’. Recently, he was in a special conversation with Pinkvilla. During this, director-producer Sanjay Gupta was also with him. Talking about the film directed by Koki Gulati, which released on 6 September, Gupta said that his perception about Fardeen is more of his father, Bollywood actor, director and producer Feroz Khan than him.
The filmmaker further added, “I worship Khan sahab. All my films are inspired by his work and everything. So, it was a very natural association.” For those who don’t know, the crime thriller also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Priya Bapat and Krystle D’Souza in lead roles. It was released on Jio Cinema.
