The iconic move performed by the cricketer in the December 28, 2024 match is from the Allu Arjun starrer film series Pushpa: The Rise and Pushpa 2: The Rule. In the film, the icon star is usually seen stroking his beard in a certain style as he says that he will never back down from any adversity.

The film Pushpa 2: The Rule has been in the news for quite some time now as it has emerged as one of the highest-grossing films in Indian cinema. Breaking box office records, the film is still attracting film lovers to theatres.

The film, directed by Sukumar, focuses on the story of Pushparaju, a sandalwood smuggler who rises into a crime syndicate with his expertise. As he leads the syndicate, the smuggler clashes with a sadistic IPS officer who wants to eliminate him.

This sets the stage for the film, with several enemies anticipating the smuggler’s downfall. Allu Arjun played the lead role, with Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil playing the co-lead roles.

Apart from the lead stars, the film also stars Jagapathi Babu, Jagadish Pratap Bandari, Dhananjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bhardwaj and many more. The film, which ended on a high note of a cliffhanger, is also set to have a third sequel titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage, work on which is likely to begin after RC 16.
