Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar on Hyderabad mob: Very unfortunate incident

Actress Nidhhi Agerwal has broken her silence on the recent mob incident in Hyderabad, after a video of the incident went viral and sparked widespread concern online. The event, which also included actor Riddhi Kumar, focused on celebrity safety, crowd behavior and the need to respect personal space in public appearances.
Responding to the incident, Nidhi Agarwal said India Today“It was a very unfortunate incident. The subject is extremely serious, and I don’t want to comment on it carelessly. I know what I want to say and how to say it, and I want to put it across in the best possible way. I’m waiting for the right time, but thank you for your concern. It really means a lot, but I will speak about it soon.”
Riddhi Kumar, who was present during the event, talked about the fine line between praise and intrusion, emphasizing the need for respect and personal space. She said, “After all, we do what we do for people’s praise and love. But praise comes with respect and with respect comes space. It is very important to give people space so that they feel comfortable. If I love someone, I would not want them to feel uncomfortable. I can say it in the simplest way.”
Recalling the emotional impact of the incident, she described how terrifying the experience was not only for her but also for her family. She said, “I was right behind Nidhi when it happened and my parents were watching it live. They were extremely scared and kept calling me. I couldn’t even get out initially and when I finally got out and walked out, I was shaken. I can only use this platform to talk to people and address the fact that it’s good to be kind, and giving space is important,” she said.
Highlighting that safety is beyond just security arrangements, Riddhi said, “Of course, safety matters, but more than that, the crowd and audience need to understand how important it is for women and people in general to feel safe. Now conversations are happening, people are more cautious, but there needs to be better and real change.”
Nidhi and Riddhi were recently seen in Prabhas’ horror-comedy. Honourable King. Sanjay Dutt was also in an important role in the film.
