Hollywood star Nicole Kidman recently opened up about making the erotic thriller Babygirl. She said the role left her “unsettled”. The actor said it (the film) is “something you do and hide in your home videos.”
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actor explained, “It’s like, ‘Oh my god, I’m doing this, and now it’s actually going to be seen by the world.’ It’s a very weird feeling. It’s something you do and hide in your home videos. It’s not something the world would normally see.”
“There came a point when I felt like I didn’t want anybody to touch me. I didn’t want to do it anymore, but at the same time I was compelled to do it. (Director Halina Reijn) would grab me and I would grab her, because it was so confronting for me,” she said.
The erotic thriller sees Kidman, who plays a CEO, romancing an intern (played by Harris Dickinson).
The actress said that she felt “very vulnerable” as an artiste while doing the project, “I felt very vulnerable as an artiste, as a woman, as a human being. I had to go in and out, like I had to put my guard up again. ‘What did I just do? Where did I go? What did I do?'”
Nicole also revealed that she had never done a film like this before.
Nicole Kidman was last seen in A Family Affair, where she shared the screen with Joey King and Zac Efron.
Babygirl will release in theatres on December 25.
