Never wanted to leave: Priyanka Chopra on being ‘pushed’ to work outside Bollywood

Priyanka Chopra, a well-known name in both the Indian and international entertainment industry, has talked about her journey from Bollywood to Hollywood and her return to Indian cinema. She said, “I don’t think I ever wanted to leave Bollywood. When I was working in Hindi films I felt limited for a lot of reasons. I wanted to expand. I was inspired to look for exciting opportunities for me as an artist. I ended up working in the US and now, I think after almost 12 years, I’m really getting the momentum to pick and choose amazing work and that’s not easy.”
Chopra’s move to the United States began in 2012 with a brief music career, after which she began acting in American television and films. In just over a decade, he has established himself as a leading figure in Hollywood, finding roles that allow him to express his versatility as an actor.
