After India’s win in the ICC T20 World Cup final, many netizens shared some relevant memes and linked it to the recent arrest of Darshan.
A social media user pointed out that in 2011, when Darshan was in jail, India won the World Cup for the second time against Sri Lanka. Then, the user pointed out that in 2013, when Darshan was in jail, India won the Champions Trophy against England.
Drawing parallels between Darshan’s current arrest and Team India’s victory, netizens are unable to keep their cool and stop themselves from sharing their thoughts on this strange connection.
In one tweet, a user referred to the 2011 World Cup and wrote, “Darshan sacrificed himself and went to jail after 2011 so that we could win the World Cup. Thank you Aquaman.”

Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his alleged girlfriend Pavithra Gowda were recently taken into custody in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy.
The 33-year-old victim, a pharmacist from Chitradurga, was upset after she allegedly made derogatory comments about Gowda, who had blamed him for Darshan’s divorce from Vijayalakshmi.
According to media reports, Darshan allegedly captured the victim using his goons and armed with multiple weapons and killed him in his garage. The victim’s body was later found dumped in a drain.
