OTT platform Netflix has announced a new documentary on veteran director SS Rajamouli, titled Modern Masters: SS Rajamouli. Rajamouli is best known for directing global phenomena such as the Baahubali franchise and Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer, RRR.

This biographical documentary is financed by Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios. It is directed by Raghav Khanna.

The makers said in a statement that the documentary will shed light on the filmmaker’s filming process, his legacy and more. The documentary will also feature interviews with the director as well as his close associates and film personalities like James Cameron, Joe Russo, Karan Johar, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

His adventurous spirit and mastery of the fantasy and epic genres have left an indelible mark on entertainment-loving audiences globally, breathing life into iconic stories from Indian history and culture,” Monika Shergill, Vice President, Content, Netflix India, said in a statement.

This documentary of SS Rajamouli will be released on Netflix on August 2.
