Neena Gupta is a living example of the saying: ‘When there’s a will, there’s a way’. Frustrated with not getting any good role, he took to social media to find work. He was soon offered congratulations, and the rest, as they say, is history.

From shows like Panchayat, Masaba Masaba to starring in films like Unchai and Lust Stories, the actor has done a great job. In an exclusive conversation with India Today Digital, the actor shared that he also enjoys the freedom of not working.

Sharing that getting a good job so late in life sometimes made her nervous, but is satisfied that at least she managed to get it. ,It hurts that I didn’t get it in my youth, but I did get it. If you die without being found (I am sad to get a good job late in life but at least I got it before I died). Neena Gupta said, “I am just grateful that God has given me so much.”

The Masaba Masaba actor further shared that his mantra in life has always been to go with the flow. He shared that for many years he felt like a beggar who had no option to say no.

Neena mentioned that it is only now that she can say no to something she doesn’t like and that is liberating. “As the saying goes, beggars can never be choosers. Because of money, I had to accept whatever was offered. Recently I could say no to a big film because I didn’t like the character .And trust me, I felt really happy about it,” she said.

The actor recently starred in the Malayalam web show, 1000 Babies alongside actors Rahman and Sanju Sivaram. When asked if she wanted to do a regional project given the popularity of the language, the actor smiled and said, “I don’t think so. I really believe in doing good work regardless of the language.” I do whatever works best for me. (I choose whatever good work comes my way).”
