Nayanthara and her team claimed that the BTS clips they used in the film were shot and edited by their crew members. Due to this, Dhanush filed a copyright infringement case against him and Netflix.
Defending her stance, Nayanthara explained that she wanted to use four specific lines written by Vignesh Shivan for the film. “The only thing we wanted in the movie was those four lines. They meant a lot to us, because they summed up our lives, our love, our children. It was very personal. The young actor revealed that he tried to reach out to Dhanush through mutual contact to know the reason behind his rejection.
