Nayantara is beyond the story, for her Netflix Doku-Drama. After the 2005 film, Chandramukhi makers, the series filed a lawsuit against the project makers.
Production House received Rs. 5 crore compensation from the crew of the actress’s new project to use the unauthorized footage of the film released two decades ago.
In the new update, Nayantara’s creator: Beyond is looking for an out-of-court settlement with the fairytail production. The trial was listed on 10 September, and the matter is expected to postpone on 6 October.

In a statement by Hindustan Times, Rahul Dhawan, managing partner of Lex Chambers, revealed, “AB International feels that we have violated their rights. Who comes around, and we are settling directly with them.”
He said, “The matter will not go for testing at all. We are just trying to locate the settlements with them, and they should be settled before the next date. We are just finalizing the conditions there. We will pass with a test at Wonderbar (Dhanush’s production house).”
In November 2024, South Superstar, Dhanush filed a case against Nayantara and her husband, Vignesh Shivan’s production company, Rowdy Pictures Private Limited, which was on the use of three seconds of footage from Nanam Rowdy Paddy, her produced project on streaming platform, her produced project on streaming platforms.
In response to the proceedings of the case, Nayantara lawyers claimed, “The petition is completed, and the matter will now move towards the test. The final hearing was held on 20 August 2025, but the case was not taken due to lack of time. The next date is yet to be notified by the court.”
