Sankranthi has always been a major season for Telugu cinema, and 2026 is already taking shape to be exciting. Following the announcement of Chiranjeevi-Anil Ravipudi project, actor Naveen Polishti’s ‘Oka Oka Roasu’ has now joined the festival release line-up.

The makers shared the release date on social media with a new poster. “Tension andhuku Dandaga Raju Garu Ekkadunte Akada Pandaga. Star entertainer @naveenpolishety is back with Perfect Family Entertainer for Sankranthi.

In December, the manufacturers unveiled a special teaser on the birthday of the new Polishti, which offers a glimpse in Raju’s bizarre world played by Naveen. The teaser shows him navigating the chaos of marriage preparations.

In a standout moment, Raju makes a tongue-in-lal phone call for business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, requesting the same Hollywood celebrities who attended Anant Ambani’s wedding. The teaser also introduces the bride played by Meenakshi Chaudhary during a lively photoshoot sequence.

The film faced many delays over time. Sreeleela was originally cast as a female lead, but reports suggest that she had to get out due to scheduling conflicts. Actor Naveen Polishti also allegedly met with an accident in the US in March 2025, which led to several fractures.

The film has been bankerrolled under the banner of Sitara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinema by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Sozanya. It is presented by Srikra Studio, which has music composed by Mickey J. Mayor. During Sankranathi 2025, Star Entertainment released Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daku Maharaj, and he is now ready for Oka Raju in 2026.
