Natasha Lyonne herself has done some great films, but there have been instances where she has been mistaken for another celebrity. Recently, recalling the time when she crossed paths with one of her former co-stars, Jennifer Coolidge, the Russian Doll actress spoke about the celebrity Coolidge had instilled in her.
While making an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Natasha Lyonne was asked about the incident. While the Orange Is the New Black actress previously joked that she was “offered the role of Pacino in Glengarry Glen Ross,” she did elaborate on the episode to host Josh Horowitz, however.
Lyonne further recalled that she met Jennifer Coolidge at the Chateau Marmont.
“I had straight hair and she thought I was Hilary Duff and I was so confused,” the Poker Face actress said.
Lyons then said that she had lost her edge and that whatever she was offering “would be over very quickly.”
Describing the actress and singer as a lovely person, Natasha Lyonne said that sometimes she looks at pictures of Hilary Duff and thinks that maybe it’s a good thing that she was once mistaken for Duff.
During the podcast, he also said, “I think he meant it kindly.”
While Natasha Lyonne debuted onscreen as an indie actress, Hilary Duff made her way through Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire and then ventured into the world of pop music.
Plus, it’s not just Leone who was mistaken for another actress; According to Entertainment Weekly, Hilary Duff was also recently mistaken for Lindsay Lohan.

In 1999, Coolidge starred opposite Natasha Lyonne in American Pie and then appeared opposite Hilary Duff in A Cinderella Story a few years later.
Further joking on the podcast, the But I’m a Cheerleader actress said she would be “mistaken for Keith Richards or something.”
