Nani’s hit 3 team faced allegations of literary theft as Madras High Court issued a legal notice
After a successful dramatic run, ‘Hit: The Third Case’ Lands in Legal Truccal, author Vimalavelan filed a literary theft case, from which the Madras High Court issued a notice to the film’s team.

After his successful dramatic run, Nani’s crime thriller ‘Hit: The Third Case’ has been in legal trouble. The Madras High Court has issued a notice after a literary theft petition filed by the actor-producer Nani, director Silesh Kolonu and the film’s team after a literary theft filed by writer Vimalalon.
According to a report by 123teluguVimalavalel claimed that he had narrated the idea of a story to Nani and was later surprised to see the ‘Hit 3’ bears similarities. Acting on its claim, the Madras High Court has issued a notice to the film’s team, directing them to respond to allegations of literary theft by 7 July, 2025.
Meanwhile, other reports suggest that Vimalavelan claims that the script in the script was registered with the South Indian Film Writers Association on August 4, 2021. He allegedly presented Sinopsis to Nani on August 8, 2022, expecting a cooperation, but no response.
These reports also mention that they had sent a legal notice to the manufacturers to prevent them from violating their intellectual property, but there was no answer. The author is said to have presented a list of equality between his script and the film and is now demanding 20% of the film’s profit as compensation citing financial losses.

Meanwhile, the film scored a strong run at the box office. With Nani, a more violent and intense role, ‘Hit: The Third Case’ has grossed over 100 crores worldwide within four days of release worldwide, despite mixed reviews and Suriya’s competition from Suria’s ‘Retro’.
The film, released on May 1, marked the third entry in a club of Rs 100 crore after Nani’s ‘Dasara’ and ‘Saripoda Sanivaram’. It is also the first film of ‘Hit Franchise’ to cross the milestone.
