Mahesh Babu starrer SSMB29 has been postponed as a globe-trotting jungle adventure, playing the role of a rugged explorer similar to superstar Indiana Jones and African folklore. However, an official confirmation about the plot is still pending.
Recently, set the pics from SSMB29 leaked online with Mahesh characterized in an action avatar. As team films in Nairobi at an unknown place, they are shooting extensively with tight security.
According to Hindustan Times, a source shared, “SS Rajamouli has started shooting for his next project in Nairobi, Kenya, with the leading pair Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The actors are currently shooting in hidden places in the city under serious surveillance. Cruce phone is not allowed on the set.”
The source said, “Even the actors’ vanity is standing around one kilometer from the actual shooting place. Rajamouli is leaving no stone unturned to make his shoot unique. The entry of the actors is not allowed outside the vanity,” the source said.
Initially, it was estimated that the film would be released as a two-part series after completing the shooting by 2026, but the manufacturers have reconsidered their decisions and possibly with a temporary release date in 2027, it would be released as a single venture.
As part of Mahesh Babu’s 50th birthday celebrations, the manufacturers of SSMB29 highlighted that the official disclosure would be made in November 2025. The team has promised that it would be a ‘never seen’, which teases a new look.
Mahesh Babu played the lead role, the film will feature Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Prithviraj Sukumaran and R Madhavan in the lead roles.
