In the pictures released, Chaitanya and Sai are beautifully dressed in traditional attire, surrounded by dancers dressed in similar styles, some of whom are also portraying the powerful goddess Kali. A huge Shiva idol serves as a majestic backdrop. According to the film’s team, Devi Sri Prasad composed the song, while the renowned Shekhar Master choreographed the grand song, which involved 1,000 dancers.
Since Thandel is set in Srikakulam, the filmmakers have incorporated the iconic Sri Mukhalingam temple and its spectacular annual Shivaratri festival into the film’s story.
Directed by Chandu Mondetti and produced by Bunny Vaas under Geetha Arts, Thandel is presented by Allu Aravind. This captivating film is inspired by true events that took place among the fishermen of Machilesam in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. Thandel highlights the touching story of two lovers tragically separated due to unexpected circumstances.
Thandale is expected to release in theaters on December 20, 2024.
