‘My Name is Gabriel’ promo: Ji Chang-wook’s reality show is all about fun and games
The South Korean superstar is all set to experience ordinary life in the new variety show ‘My Name is Gabriel’. Produced by PD Kim Tae-ho, the show will stream on OTT from June 21.

The South Korean superstar is stepping away from the limelight in a new reality show ‘My Name is Gabriel’. A recently released promo gives a glimpse of this social experiment.
The brainchild of PD Kim Tae-ho, famous for the hit show ‘Infinite Challenge’, ‘My Name is Gabriel’ takes five A-list celebrities and places them in the lives of ordinary people. The show features top celebrities switching lives with real people living abroad.
It stars comedians Park Myung-soo and Hong Jin-kyung, actors Yeom Hye-ran, Park Bo-gum and Ji Chang-wook, dancer Shin Ga-bi (Gabi) and TV personality Kim Jin-young (Dex).

We see the stars struggling with unfamiliar situations. Actor Ji Chang-wook, who was last seen in ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri’, is shown working in a field, perhaps far from the set lights he is accustomed to. Park Bo-gum is seen involved in a music-related job, which is different from his acting career.
‘My Name is Gabriel’ promises a journey of self-discovery for the stars and a gift for fans. The show is conceptualised keeping in mind the public’s curiosity about what kind of life celebrities may lead outside the spotlight.
‘My Name Is Gabriel’ is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar from June 21.
