Three-time Grammy Award-winning musician Ricky Kej set a Guinness World Record with his stunning performance of the national anthem. In 2023, Kej conducted the largest symphony orchestra ever, consisting of the UK’s 100-piece Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, to perform the Indian national anthem at Abbey Road Studios in London. It was released on August 14, a day before India’s 77th Independence Day.

Ricky Kej, along with Dr. Achyuta Samanta (educationist), recorded a singing choir of 14,000 tribal children from Odisha who performed together at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences.

It’s yours now, my humble gift to every Indian. Jai Hind!”
Happy Independence Day 2024.”

He further added, “Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Rakesh Chaurasia, Amaan and Ayan Ali Bangash, Rahul Sharma, Jayanti Kumaresh, Sheikh and Kalishabi Mehboob, Giridhar Udupa, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UK), Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (sic).”

“We have a lot to learn from these communities,” Cage said. “Their deep connection with nature and sustainable living practices are lessons the world needs to adopt.”

Earlier, Ricky Kej was honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his achievements at the Grammy Awards.
