The Hollywood icon Meril Streep and Martin Short are allegedly a couple and have been together for over a year. According to radaronline.com, sources close to the stars say that their relationship, once a quiet rumor, is now confirmed.
While the two actors kept their romance in wrapped, fans of their Hulu show were guessing their bonds only for months in the building.
An inner source told Page Six, “Merrill cannot help, but falls for Martin. He is a gentleman, she laughs at her and she is a positive person. She likes to live around her.”
Although his romance surprised him, it was not a plan. “They were not looking for a relationship when they started dating, it was completely unexpected,” said the source.
His friends and family allegedly support the relationship. The inner source shared that his children and close friends approve their relationship and think they are adorable.
While he tried to be private, fans were caught after holding hands in several public outings last year. Recently, both were seen participating in back-to-back events in the same evening.
He was first posted with artists with Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein in Broadway show Oh, Mary! Later that night, a video received by TMZ attended him on Saturday night Live, where he interacted together with fans and security.
Meril and Martin have been friends for years, and their connection was reportedly deepened over time. A source told Page Six that he has been a friend for years and many mutual friends.
Both stars have also experienced the loss of partners for a long time. In 2017, 40 years after marriage, Meril Streep separated from her husband, Don Gamar. Earlier, he dated actor John Kazle, who died of lung cancer in 1978. Martin Short lost his wife, Nancy Dolman, after a fight with ovarian cancer in 2010.
Despite being happy together, the couple are never planning to get married soon. A source said that Meril is still legally married to Don, but even though he has divorced, the marriage is not something in which he is interested in Martin. They are happy that they continue their relationship as lover and girlfriend.
