Mufasa: Shahrukh Khan mentions the soldier’s ‘father-son’ dialogue in the new promo

Shah Rukh Khan drew parallels between his role as Mufasa in the Hindi version of Disney’s The Lion King and a famous dialogue from his film Jawan, which emphasized the father-son dynamic.

Shah Rukh Khan is the voice of Mufasa in the Hindi version of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King. Unveiling his poster from the film, Shahrukh drew parallels between his youthful dialogues, “Before touching your son, talk to the father. (Talk to the father before dealing with the son)” with Mufasa.

In the new promo, Shahrukh Khan shares his personal connection with MufasaWhere he refreshed his childhood memories. The actor said he connects deeply with the character because his hair resembles Mufasa’s hair in The Lion King.

Reflecting on Jawaan’s iconic ‘father-son’ dialogue, the actor shared his decision to voice Mufasa with his son Aryan Khan, who lends his voice to Simba.

Shahrukh’s youngest son Abram makes his debut as a voice actor in this film. He is the voice behind young Mufasa. Additionally, actor Sanjay Mishra will voice Pumbaa, Shreyas Talpade will lend his voice to Timon, Makrand Deshpande will voice Rafiki, and Meiyang Chang will play the role of Taka.

Directed by Barry Jenkins, the film sheds light on the origins of the iconic Lion King. It describes Mufasa’s journey from an orphaned cub to ruler of the Pride Lands, with the guidance of Rafiki and the support of a trusted group of allies.

Mufasa: The Lion King will release on December 20 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
