Before becoming an icon of Hindi cinema, Amitabh Bachchan faced a difficult journey in getting filmmakers to recognize his potential. His ’70s co-actress Moushumi Chatterjee talked about her rise to stardom, which she claims changed her personality. He also discussed late actor Rajesh Khanna’s rise to the top position in the industry and described him as “arrogant”.

But I wouldn’t say he became bigger for the better. When you get so much, you behave very differently. You won’t even think about helping others.”

Reportedly, when Amitabh was not shooting his scenes, he used to live in isolation on the film sets. Moushumi said, “His brother Ajitabh used to arrange for a car that would take Bachchan to and from the sets. He used to be a very quiet person, sitting alone and having lunch with my hairdresser, whom he knew closely.

Rajesh Khanna died in December 2012 after battling several health issues. He was 69 years old.
