Motorola’s new range of foldable devices, the Razr 50 and Razr 50 Ultra are set to launch in China on June 25. The flagship devices are expected to come with AI features. Along with these two devices, Motorola also plans to release the S50 Neo. While the phone will launch in China this month, it is likely to make its global debut in the month of July.

The arrival of the Motorola Razr 50 series was announced via Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The launch event will begin at 2pm local time (11:30am IST).

Motorola Razr 50 series expected

While nothing has been officially revealed yet, leaks have revealed some of the expected features of the upcoming Motorola flagship. According to a tipster, @SujanTharu66, the Ultra variant of the series is expected to feature a 6.9-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080 pixels. Meanwhile, there could also be a 3.6-inch cover display.

The tipster also revealed that the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra may feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8sGen 3 and 4,000mAH battery life. This could be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It is expected to run on the latest Android 14 operating system with Motorola’s Hello UI.

For photography enthusiasts, the smartphone could feature a dual camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. There could also be a 32MP front-facing shooter to take care of all your selfie and video call needs.

At the same time, the vanilla model of the series, Motorola Razr 50, can have a 6.9-inch OLED panel with a 3.6-inch cover display. However, it can be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset.

Another tipster @rohankeshri has posted leaked images of the device on X. As per the leak, the Motorola Razr 50 will pack a 3,950mAH battery with 33W charging speed.

Motorola Razr 50: Price in India

Motorola’s previous foldable flagship, the Razr 40 Ultra, was originally priced at Rs 89,999. And it is being speculated that the upcoming device will also be around the same price range in the segment. This is based on a leak revealing the expected cost of the device. It is rumoured that the Motorola Razr 50 will be priced around $699, which is equivalent to Rs 58,000. This price range is similar to the prices offered by Motorola for its foldable series last year.
