Motorola has introduced the Moto AI Open Beta program, offering a glimpse of the future of AI-powered features on its smartphones. The open beta gives users access to a suite of artificial intelligence tools designed to simplify everyday tasks like managing messages, calls, and notes. Available for select Motorola devices, the program allows participants to test these features before their wide release.

The beta program is currently available for the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, Razr 50, and Edge 50 Ultra smartphones. Users from different regions can join the program, which supports English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

Motorola has made it easy to join the beta, with eligible device owners receiving notifications directly to their smartphones. For those interested, manual registration is also possible through Motorola’s official website. Once registered, users can download the Moto AI app from the Google Play Store and activate the AI features by swiping up from the home screen.

Among the new AI tools, Motorola has highlighted three main features. First, “Catch Me Up” aims to make notifications more manageable by providing a summary of messages and calls, allowing users to stay updated without opening each one individually. The second feature, “Note”, starts an audio recording and uses AI to transcribe and summarize the conversation, which can be especially useful in meetings or when multitasking.

The third feature, “Remember This”, allows users to save and organize information from screenshots, notes, and photos. All saved content, including recordings from Pay Attention, is stored in Motorola’s Journal app, where AI helps organize and summarize data for easy access.

Users participating in the beta can share their feedback with Motorola through the device’s quick settings panel, ensuring that the company can make improvements based on real-world usage. For those who wish to opt out of the beta program, uninstalling the Moto AI app will remove most of the beta software, although the Journal app will remain on the device.
