Motorola hasn’t stopped launching phones as the company has teased another smartphone. The brand recently announced the Moto G85, Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra in India. Motorola says its new device comes with ruggedness and a slim design. It will be available to buy via Flipkart. Here’s everything we know about it.
The teaser video shared by Motorola reveals that the upcoming smartphone is “built to survive the toughest adventures.” It claims that the device is the world’s thinnest smartphone with MIL-STD-810H certification, which basically means that the new Motorola phone can withstand accidental drops, extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
Motorola has also confirmed that the device will be 7.68mm thick and come with an IP54 rating. The teaser also reveals that it will have a massive display with curved frames for a better grip on the device. Many Motorola devices are coming with a matte finish on the back, so the new device may also have the same feature. If the leaks are to be believed, this could be the Motorola Edge 50 Neo smartphone. There is currently no information about the upcoming phone.
To recall, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo was launched at Rs 23,999. The new version could also be priced in the same price range. The 40 Neo features a 6.55-inch pOLED curved display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It has an IP68 rating and claims to be dust and water resistant. At the back, you get a vegan leather finish in two colours while the Black Beauty colour variant has a glass finish. The phone supports Wi-Fi 6e which promises the best speed for gaming. The phone also boasts cloud gaming, through which users can use their phone as a hand-held console and play games from the cloud itself.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor. For photography, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo comes with a 50-megapixel Ultra-Pixel Night Vision primary camera with OIS. The secondary camera is 13-megapixel and has an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, there is a 32-megapixel front camera with quad-pixel technology. The phone also packs a 5,000mAh battery and a 68W fast charging charger in the box. Motorola assures two OS upgrades and 3 years of security upgrades.
