The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is all set to launch in India. The company has finally confirmed the launch date. It will launch on June 18 and will be available to buy on platforms including Flipkart. The good thing is that the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra is already on sale in global markets, so we know its specs and design, leaving nothing to the imagination. The price, of course, is still a mystery. As per the teasers, there are three models. One of them has a real wood back panel, which looks great. This also means that the device might have solid durability, which we will test when we get it for review. It comes in off-white colour with a wooden texture on the back. The side frame has golden accents and the Motorola logo can be seen on the rear panel. The triple camera setup is housed in a slightly raised camera module. The Ultra model features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Furthermore, it boasts an IP68 rating for water resistance and supports 50W wireless charging, which is up to the standards expected from a flagship device in 2024. There is also support for 125W wired charging. Under the hood, you will find a 4,500mAh battery unit.

For photography, there is a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support at the back. This is accompanied by a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens that also acts as a macro lens. The device runs on Android 14 OS and its Snapdragon chip is supported by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage solution.

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra: Expected price in India

It has already launched the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India, priced at Rs 31,999. It is a mid-range device and the features offered justify its price. The Ultra model is likely to be priced significantly higher as it comes with better specs. The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra was announced in Europe at EUR 999, which is around Rs 88,870 when converted to Indian currency. Of course, the device is not expected to be priced that high in India as Android flagship phones in the same price range come with the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. So, it would not be wise for Motorola to launch the Edge 50 Ultra in this price range. The device is expected to be priced between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000 considering the premium features.
