Motorola may soon launch its next-generation foldable smartphone Moto Razr 60 Ultra in India. According to a report by 91Mobiles, the upcoming Moto Razr 60 Ultra has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, hinting at its launch soon. Motorola’s new foldable flagship is reportedly listed with model number XT2551 and codename “Orion”.
The name in the listing is found to be in line with Motorola’s naming scheme for its devices. For example, the Razer 50 Ultra, which was launched in July 2024, was listed under model number XT2451. While the listing suggests that the device may arrive in India soon, if Motorola follows the same timeline as its predecessor, the Razr 60 Ultra could be available in the Indian market by mid-2025.
As for the new upgrade, an earlier report by 91Mobiles suggested that the new flagship is likely to come with the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset, a processor that is yet to make its global debut. It is reported that the Razr 60 Ultra could be the first smartphone in the market with Qualcomm’s latest chipset.
The next-generation chipset is also expected to offer similar performance capabilities to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with upgrades in efficiency and power. If this chipset is indeed confirmed, the Razer 60 Ultra could be one of the first devices to include it, promising strong performance for multitasking, gaming, and camera functionality.
Along with the chipset, the Razer 60 Ultra is said to include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. These will represent significant upgrades for the upcoming flagship compared to its predecessor, the Razer 50 Ultra.
As far as other specifications are concerned, the report indicates that we can expect significant updates. The Razer 50 Ultra sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ LTPO pOLED inner display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The Razer 60 Ultra is expected to maintain the same high-quality panel for detailed visuals and smooth scrolling. Additionally, the foldable design of the flagship may see some improvements, potentially resulting in a slimmer and more ergonomic device.
Talking about the camera, the Razer 50 Ultra comes with a dual-camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. While specific details about the Razr 60 Ultra’s camera system are unknown, Motorola is likely to include advanced sensors for better photography and videography.
Battery life is another area where the Razer 60 Ultra could improve. The Razer 50 Ultra packs a 4,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. Speculations suggest that the new model may include a larger battery and faster charging capabilities to meet user needs.
